Mid-April
Bengali Nababarsha

Poila Boishakh is when we begin the Bengali year together — new clothes, sweets, Rabindra sangeet and a long, unhurried lunch shared with the whole community.
What the day looks like
- Prabhat pheri style opening with songs of the season
- Traditional Bengali lunch served to all members
- Cultural programme by children and adults
- Adda that comfortably outlasts the programme
Taking part
Anyone who wants to sing, recite or perform is welcome — tell us a little ahead so we can fit you into the programme.
